Trombone Lessons

I have a private studio based in Ithaca (NY)! I teach all levels from beginner to collegiate players. I specialize in classical, jazz, funk, and pop and cater our lessons to the students needs and goals.

I believe that we are all both students and teachers. I approach every lesson with the ultimate goal of keeping joy in trombone playing and meeting students where they are at. If this sounds like what you are looking for, don’t hesitate to reach out!

We meet weekly for either 30 minutes or an hour at Hickey's Music Center. A typical lesson consists of fundamentals first, etudes, and solos depending on the students interests/playing needs.

I work directly with both the student and parent(s)/guardian(s) to develop a plan for each semester, including optimal practice time and practice material. Open communication is a must to ensure the student is getting what they want out of each lesson!

I have my undergraduate degree in trombone performance from Ithaca College, and have been teaching privately in the Ithaca area for 1+ years!

I am an active freelancer in the central NY area and am a full-time member of the Fall Creek Brass Band.
